I play both guitar and bass. What got me into playing was my friend who wrote a song. I loved it, and decided to learn to play bass so I could play on it when it got recorded in the studio.

Hmmm, probably "Generation Swine" by Motley Crue, "This Left Feels Right" by Bon Jovi was a big disappointment for me also.

I wouldn't say they ended up nowhere but I always thought Black n Blue & Lillian Axe should have been bigger.

I played guitar, my first 'real' guitar that I saved up every dime I had, was a cherry red Charvel, still got it, I just can't let it go even though I don't play anymore. Eddie Van Halen was the sole reason I took up playing guitar, well that and to get chicks. Too bad I couldn't play like him! But I had the best time of my life.

Probably anything on the first Pretty Boy Floyd record. But I admit I've gone through a couple copies of that cd myself. Cheese ain't always bad!

I've been to so many that they all blur together. I would say probably Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet tour. For me it was just a magical time in my life, being 17 and you just felt like every song they were singing was about you, and being in a band myself at the time- for me, that was the dream, to have the success they had. And the girls at those shows.....were amazing, and if you had the hair like Bon Jovi, which I did, and if you were in a band, which I was, you were like the next best thing to those girls.

Again all the concerts have become a blur, but I do recall seeing Van Halen on their 1984 tour and feeling a little disappointed. Dave only sang half the words to the songs and just didn't really try.

Despite my answer for #9, I would have to say Van Halen with Dave. I love Sammy and the stuff they did with him was great, but it's time to bring Dave back. I know his voice ain't what it used to be, but it'd be one big fuckin' party of a concert! Hopefully Dave would realize it's his last shot and give it 100%.

Bon Jovi - Bouce tour. I took my wife, who is seven years younger than me and missed the hair band era, and they pretty much converted her into a fan that night. But I still can't get her to listen to anything else from that era.

Definately The Darkness. I just don't get it. I thought they were a joke the first time I heard them. Also, Velvet Revolver was a dissapointment for me, I can't stand Weiland's voice.. IMO the Brides were Ok, just about what I expected, nothing great but not bad.

time back in since 1984. He sang or should say yodeled through 4 songs then walked off stage leaving his band to jam for 5 minutes until the road manager came out and said the show was cancelled. I'll never forget Ozzy sounding like Peter Brady going through puberty on Good Bye To Romance.....Oh yeah and Static X, A buddy of mine told me they were great. We stood there going "holy pub rock" as he apologized to me all night for dragging my ass down there.

Guitar (1957 Les Paul reissue, Black Beauty, triple pickup - my pride and joy, bass which I started off on and dabble in keyboards although I'm pretty shite. My first main influence was Gene Simmons.
